IV. WhatsApp Manager Dashboard

After successfully registering for Whatsapp API, you’ll gain access to “Whatsapp Manager” - which manages your Whatsapp API, provided by Meta.

On the toolbar on the left, you’ll see a wide range of advanced features to manage your Whatsapp accounts.

  1. Message template:

The message template consists of all of the templates created.

The column “Status” of the templates needs checking on a regular basis. The status will change if the block/report rate from your recipients rises. If too many templates are reported, your WA number will be marked as spam.

  1. Phone number:

In terms of “Phone number”, you’ll be provided an overview of your WA API phone number. Choose “Setting” to see more details of your number.

If the phone number hasn’t been verified, you can easily rename your business.

If your WA number display name is already verified, after adjusting your business name and being accepted by WA, the backend data also needs adjustment to continue using the phone number on WA. Please contact Pancake for support.

2.1. Phone number details:

The first thing you can see is the messaging limits in 24h.

As you can see above, this phone number can initiate conversations with 10,000 unique customers in 24h.

Below is the condition to increase your messaging limits. If you can reach these conditions, WA system will automatically upgrade your phone number’s limit so that you can initiate conversations with more customers. This is an automatic process and the only way to unlock the next tier is by meeting these criteria.

Two other sections can be seen are “Conversation Insights” and “Last 30-day quality”

  • “Conversation Insights” will list the number of conversations of each template, free conversation, paid conversation and approximate cost.

  • Last 30-day quality will help you with controlling the quality of your phone number, reducing the risk of being blocked.

Phone number quality is a crucial indicator that needs to be constantly monitored, so you won’t get blocked which will certainly affect your working process.

The three tiers of phone number quality are: High, Medium and Low.

  • Whatsapp won’t show you the number of customers blocked or reported your number, only your number's quality.

  • If there’re too many customers block or report your number to WA, the number quality will be dropped by one tier. In this situation, you should stop initiating conversations to new customers and focus on taking care of the old ones. The number quality will be restored once the ratio of the number of customers’ blockings/the number of conversations decreases. At this time you can continue to initiate conversations to new customers.

2.2 Profile:

You can freely adjust your “Business profile” in the “Profile” section, which will be displayed to your customers. The adjustable information ranges from profile photo, category, description to contact information. These will be shown on the preview on the right side.

2.3 Official Business Account:

On the profile, you can choose to get the green checkmark (verified) for your business. This is an optional step, your number still can be used normally even you haven’t got OBA. Yet this is beneficial:

  • When you send messages to your customers, Whatsapp displays your business name with a green checkmark, enhancing brand reputation and reducing block risks.

  • Approving templates or supporting from WA will be quickly processed.

Nevertheless, Official Business Account will only be provided for those businesses which are considered verified and significant. The approval will be completely controlled by WA and can’t be interfered by any other third parties.

In order to get the green checkmark, the account must meet these conditions:

  • Business verification is complete.

  • Profile display name is approved.

  • Two-step verification is turned on.

After that, the information below is required provided to request WA:

  • Business website.

  • Reasons why you need verifying.

  • Primary country of operation.

  • Primary language (optional).

  • Parent business or brand (optional).

  • 5 supporting links. These usually are articles at your country written about your business. This one is optional, yet essential for Meta team to decide if your business is verified and significant or not.

The approval takes from 3 to 4 working days. If you get declined, you need to wait for another 30 days to re-request.
